Jesus Loves Woman

Jesus Values Women

And at this point His disciples came, and they marveled

that He talked with a woman; yet no one said, “What do

You seek?” or, “Why are You talking with her?”  –John 4:27

Jesus Spoke to a Woman of Samaria which was socially unacceptable in that culture.

Jesus Takes Care of Women

When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by,

He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!”

And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home. John 19:26-27

While dying on the cross, Jesus made sure His mother would be taken care of after his departure.

Jesus Honors Women

Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”

She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away,

tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!”

She turned and said to [a]Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).

Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father;

but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to

My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ” John 20:15-17

The first person Jesus spoke to after He rose from the dead was a woman;

and, He called her by name.

Jesus Accepts Broken-Hearted Woman

But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. Now early in the morning He came again into the temple,

and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them.

Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery.

And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him,

“Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.

Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned.

But what do You say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something

of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with

His finger, as though He did not hear. So when they continued asking Him,

He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you,

let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.

Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience,

went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last.

And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman,

He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?”

She said, “No one, Lord. And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you;

go and sin no more.” John 8:1-11

A Woman caught in adultery was brought to Jesus to be condemned.

But Jesus forgave her telling her not to sin anymore.
