Prevailing Word Church is a non-denominational, spirit-filled, full-gospel church. We believe the Bible is indeed, The Word of God. Further, we recognize man can not live but “…by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

MUSIC - We sing a lot of contemporary gospel music with traditional hymns added to Spirit-motivated and Bible-centered worship. As we “…make a joyful noise unto the Lord…” (Psalms 100:1), many of the songs we offer up to God are either based on, or are taken right out of the Scripture.

MINISTRY - In John 8:31-32, Jesus said to a group who believed on Him, “…If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” This oft-misquoted scripture isn’t “…the truth shall make you free.” No, to those who “continue” (abide, dwell) in the WORD are disciples who “…shall know the truth…” that gives liberty and brings “…life and life more abundantly…” (Jn 10:10). Therefore, “Teaching Triumphant Truth” is not just our vision - it is the focus of every aspect of the ministry – from the nursery, covenant kid’s church, Jesus’ Generation youth group, In Him singles group; as well from the pulpit of the PWC sanctuary. We believe that God’s Word will prevail in every sorrowful situation, in every cramped circumstance, even in the stress and strain of the daily storms of life. Nothing is too difficult for the One who framed the worlds “by the Word of God” (Hebrews 11:3). He is the One who quickens the dead and calls things that are not as though they were” (Rom 4:17) We have found that He will walk us through our particular problems as we become those blessed people the Psalmist spoke of in Psalm 1:1-3; and “delight in the law of the Lord and in His law does he meditate day and night.”

MOTIVATION - PWC also recognizes the veracity and importance of yet another scripture passage to our journey of life. Psalms 19:7, “The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul…” is the prime motivation of our body of believers. Nothing will come to anyone until they recognize the need to have their sin forgiven and be born again (Jn 3:3). The only way to Heaven is through the finished work of Jesus Christ. A repentant prayer of: believing Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, and confessing Him as Lord and Savior – God will hear that prayer and forgive their sin and make their reservation for a home in Heaven.

MIGHT – We overcome the enemy of our soul and all his works (1 John 3:8) as we journey towards Heaven by not being “… conformed to this world but…but by being “transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Rom 12:2). We recognize that only God’s Spirit-directed Word will enable us to win the battles this demonic world forces us into. Therefore in the power of Jesus’ Name (Mark 16:15), we truly believe we “…can do all things through Christ which…” strengthens us! (Phil 4:13).
